Monday 17th July McNicol Homestead
Everyone is welcome.
A member of the Miranda based Te Whangai Trust will be addressing us on their “eco-preneurial social enterprise” and the services they provide. They supply plants from their nurseries and undertake site preparation, planting, and maintenance services. Come along and hear how they can help you and you can help this very deserving charity.
Community Planting Day
Sunday 25th June, 10am – Midday.
Come and help plant Clevedon Scenic Reserve, Thorps Quarry Road and at the same time meet other people from your community. Bring gumboots or covered shoes that can get dirty, and gardening gloves if you have any. Free BBQ for all those that help. Please register your interest by email to email@example.com
A big thank you to everyone who took plants and for contributing to WRL coffers. The next tasks will be to propagate the seeds collected locally and potting up seedlings.

Wairoa River Steering Group
The Wairoa River Catchment Action Plan and Work Programme has been presented to the Franklin Local Board. This project would not have possible without the support of the Board, particularly our local representatives Angela Fulljames and Malcolm Bell. Katie Jones has done a very professional job as coordinator and the major task of compiling the Plan, Work Programme and Projects with input and support of members of the Steering Group. Come to the WRL AGM for an update.
Z Energy “GOOD IN THE HOOD” Funding
Thank you to everyone who voted for us and particularly to Z Energy. We expect to receive their cheque at the presentation on June 23rd.
